Carasoin's new MCT Body Oil is a pioneering new body moisturizer that intensely hydrates but absorbs quickly to leave no tacky residue - just luxuriously smooth skin.
Our groundbreaking formula means that the MCT (Medium Chain Triglyceride) Oil can be defused in to a fine mist for easy application, and unlike most other body oils that leave a residue or stain clothing, our formula is absorbed to leave you skin silky soft and not stain your clothing.

What is MCT oil made from?

The coconut oil undergoes a process called fractionation, where the contents in the oil are separated and collected. Highly concentrated medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) is separated from the oil during fractionation.

MCT oil is frequently produced from coconut oil because it is naturally high in MCTs, containing up to 54 percent and the resulting MCT oil is a pure-source (100%) of MCTs with a greater proportion of caprylic acid. In addition to these characteristics, Caprylic Acid (C8) and Capric Acid (C10) fatty acids are believed to have extensive benefits for skincare and health:

  • Reputed antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties (Lauric acid in MCT oil has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties and can effectively treat skin diseases and reduce the growth of bacteria).
  • Powerful anti-inflammatory properties
  • Powerful antioxidant properties
  • Used as a natural treatment for acne and inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema
  • MCT oil works wonders on the skin by moisturizing it and reducing wrinkles and stretch marks.
  • The oil also promotes healing and reduces skin peeling post sunburn.
Used on the body, MCT Oil functions as a moisturizing body oil that leaves the skin silky soft and smooth. It is best applied after a bath or shower to lock in moisture and maintain skin hydration. Due to the quick-absorbing nature of MCT Oil, it is a great oil to carry and apply on-the-ago to prevent issues of dryness or irritation.

Those with allergies to Coconut Oil should avoid the use of MCT Oil. As with all other oils, a patch test should be conducted on the inner arm using a dime-size amount of MCT Oil to check for sensitivities.

Other Key ingredients:

Planifolia/Vanilla Flower Extract:

Vanilla planifolia fruit extract is a natural ingredient used in skin care primarily for its antioxidant benefits. The vanilla plant's seed, commonly referred to as vanilla bean, is a source of catechins (also known as polyphenols), which have antioxidant activity and serve as skin-soothing agents.
Vanilla is rich in antioxidants which neutralise free radicals and reverse skin damage caused by them. It helps to slow down signs of ageing like fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. It not only leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated but also smelling lovely.

Lavandula Angustifolia / Lavender Extract:

Lavender is known for its antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is the best variety to use due it's well established healing properties.

Argan Oil:

Argania Spinosa (Argan) kernel oil is the oil extracted from the kernels of seeds from Argania Spinosa plant. It has been shown to offer many benefits to our skin including anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, skin protection, moisturizing and skin hydrating and anti-viral benefits.
Rich in antioxidants: Argan oil is rich in antioxidants that help protect against environmental damage, like polyphenols and vitamin E. This vitamin is well loved in skincare for its anti-aging and skin softening properties. Both help scavenge free radicals, helping to maintain skin’s youthfulness. Helps prevent transepidermal water loss: Argan oil provides healing and sealing to the skin's outer layer, which doesn't just improve appearance—it also prevents further drying and damage. It does this by putting a stop to the transepidermal water loss (literally moisture leaking from the skin and evaporating into the air) which is caused by disruptions to the skin’s outermost barrier.

Butyrospermum Parkin/Shea Butter:

An excellent emollient and emulsifier, shea butter protects against skin dryness and accelerates healing of superficial wounds and irritations.
By boosting collagen production and promoting new cell generation, shea butter may help reduce what researchers call photoaging — the wrinkles and fine lines that environmental stress and aging can create on skin.

Coconut oil:

Coconut oil helps bolster your skin's protective barrier layer, trapping moisture inside and keeping skin supple and hydrated. Reduces inflammation. Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for irritated, chafed skin. Increases collagen production.

Olea Europaea / Olive Oil Extract:

Produced from top-quality olives and naturally rich in vitamins A and E, as well as the powerful hydroxytyrosol (Hydroxytyrosol is a highly effective antioxidant and acts as a free-radical scavenger. As a result, it can protect skin and hair from UV radiation induced damages, thus reducing skin ageing)
The olive oil can penetrate the skin, prevent loss of moisture and give a silky smooth softness.

Rosmarinus Officinalis/Rosemary Leaf Extract:

The anti-inflammatory properties of rosemary extract help to reduce swelling and puffiness of the skin. It also helps to heal burns and soothe the skin. This herb's medicinal qualities makes it a powerful cure for chronic skin conditions including dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.
